And finally, at the end of our trip, we spent two days in Rome. The hotel was very well chosen indeed, it was a magical, very quiet place near the gardens, and everything was just perfect.
Heroically, we spent two hours in the queue to see the Vatican, but for me it was not the best of the trip for sure.

Venice
It was a sentimental journey. We had been to Venice in 2006 on our honey-moon, and somehow we wanted to seek some memories. As for me, it didn't work at all. It was a different Venice or we were different people.
I think it's very difficult to explain Venice; paradoxically it is even difficult to take photos of Venice. Something is escaping the cadre. Venice is a whole, a surrounding.
It's much easier to take photos of a particular place or moment, a concrete event, like our visit to Ca Pesaro or Peggy Guggenheim.

Florence
I haven't been to Florence since 2004, and to Venice since our marriage in 2006. It's a "refreshment trip", to seek old memories.
